Applications of BBa_K5196001
This plasmid, when inserted into Pseudomonas putida S16, allowed for a degradative efficiency of 55.471% in 10 hours and 58.591% in 35 hours as seen in Figure 1.
Figure 1. Comparison of degradation of 1,4-dioxane in media in various conditions over 35 hours. As compared to the non-arabinose-induced P. putida + THFMO control, arabinose-induced P. putida control, and arabinose-induced media control, we can see much greater degradation in the arabinose-induced P. putida + THFMO group.
